Membership Examinations for Unusual Pet Medicine and Surgery 2019

The next available year for candidates to sit the membership examinations will be held in 2019.

We wish all the candidates good luck in the upcoming examinations.

Rabbit Haemorrhagic Disease Virus (RHDV-K5) Release.

The Local Land Services of the Greater Sydney region have issue a warning to all vets in the surrounding regions that there will be a release of a rabbit calicivirus K5 strain to aid in wild rabbit control. The virus will be released as a live solution added to chopped carrots.

This notification is to allow vets to notify clients of the need to vaccinate pet rabbits as all rabbits, including pet rabbits can be affected. For best protection rabbits should be vaccinated prior to 1 March, 2017.
