Veterinary Anaesthetist

We have a full time, continuing opportunity for a Veterinary Anaesthetist ($92,575 - $112,562) to join our world- leading University based at Townsville.

What you will achieve

You will will teach and assess final year Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) students and postgraduate students while involved in authentic clinical service delivery, in veterinary anaesthesia, in the University's on-campus veterinary teaching hospital. Clinical service may also be required in the teaching hospital at times of the year when students are not present. You will also conduct some teaching and assessment of more junior BVSc students in practical sessions and other modes as well as contributing to the management and development of the veterinary science teaching programme, especially in veterinary anaesthesia and related fields. 

What you can bring

You can bring a Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science, or equivalent, allowing the holder to be automatically registrable in the State of Queensland. A track record of formal training in veterinary anaesthesia will be required with demonstrable progress towards achievement of a specialist-level credential and a strong interest in, and aptitude for, teaching veterinary anaesthesia with demonstrable commitment to teaching excellence. You will also have a willingness to develop and participate in veterinary clinical research projects.
