As Southpaws continues to grow across our three Melbourne locations, we're excited to reintroduce Internal Medicine as a core part of our multidisciplinary team. We’re seeking expressions of interest from a Board-certified Internal Medicine Specialist or Residency-trained Registrar who shares our vision of excellence, genuine collaboration, and delivering patient-first care.

An Evolving Multidisciplinary Hospital Group

With Southpaws’ long history of surgical innovation, our approach continues to evolve—now encompassing on-site specialist Anaesthesia and Emergency & Critical Care services. The next chapter in that evolution is the development of a full-service Internal Medicine department, and we're ready to invest in building that with the right team.

Our existing surgical offerings already include advanced interventional radiology procedures, such as:

  • PDA correction using Amplatz ductal occluders
  • Tumour embolisation
  • Coil embolisation of intrahepatic shunts

You’ll also be joining at a time when we’re expanding our multidisciplinary team further—recruitment for a Medical Oncologist is also underway, providing exciting opportunities for integrated, collaborative patient care.
