Small Animal Surgery Resident

Brisbane Veterinary Specialist Centre ( ) is looking for a new, exceptional surgery resident to join our surgery team of three specialists, two residents and a dedicated nursing group.

BVSC is a modern referral hospital providing speciality services in surgery, internal medicine, radiation therapy, ophthalmology, dentistry and physiotherapy. The BVSC team have a strong track record in supporting residents through the residency program and successfully achieving their specialist registration with a diverse case load and outstanding supervision in a world-class hospital. This three year, full time position will satisfy the credential requirements of Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in small animal surgery. 

The ideal candidate will be an experienced, MANZCVS qualified veterinarian who has previous experience working in a busy specialist hospital however those with specialist hospital experience and planning to sit MANZCVS are encouraged to apply. They will be able to demonstrate their ability to thrive in a busy, collaborative environment and will reflect the vision, purpose and values of BVSC in all their professional activities. 

In addition to base salary and superannuation, our remuneration and benefits package will include residency program costs, an externally provided Employee Assistance Program and paid leave for externships and training in related disciplines.
