Membership in Veterinary Practice

The College has been pleased to offer Membership in Veterinary Practice (Small Animal) and Membership in Veterinary Practice (Equine) since 2019.

As broader-based membership subjects, Membership in Veterinary Practice will reflect the knowledge used and the range of activities many veterinarians perform in their day-to-day lives. 

It will allow veterinary practitioners to demonstrate competence across the breadth of either small animal or equine general practice, rather than focusing on a specific field.

The examinations will cover a range of subject areas including physiology, pharmacology and preventative health, surgery, medicine, ophthalmology, behaviour, dermatology, anaesthesia and dentistry.
