About us

The Animal Referral Hospital (ARH) is a well-established group of specialist veterinary hospitals. We offer a wide range of specialist services and provide 24-hour emergency and critical care through our facilities in NSW, ACT, QLD, VIC and SA. The Animal Referral Hospital at Essendon Fields is supported by a range of specialist services including internal medicine; surgery; emergency and critical care. Our team is supported by the latest equipment including in house diagnostic laboratory, digital radiography, most up to date ultrasound, digital endoscopy, ECG, CT, and MRI.

Due to our expanding organisation we now have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and dynamic individual to take on a Medicine Internship commencing as soon as possible. 

The role

You will work predominantly under the guidance and mentorship of our internal medicine specialists, as well as more broadly within our team of professional veterinarians and expert nursing staff. You will also have close involvement with our other departments. 

Interns are expected to participate in daily rounds, journal club meetings and case presentations. They will be encouraged to complete a published work during their internship and will be supported in the completion of ANZCVS medicine membership examination.

Requirements

Candidates must be eligible for veterinary registration in Victoria, possess excellent communication skills and a strong knowledge base on which to build. At least one to two years’ of clinical experience is preferred, but outstanding graduates are also encouraged to apply.
