Inaugural Head of Internal Medicine - Join the best team in town!

A unique opportunity exists for a highly driven, energetic, passionate internal medicine specialist to establish and lead your own team. This role represents the chance not only for you to build and shape your own service from the ground up, but to harness the support and guidance of our existing leadership team.

MASH is a privately owned, patient-focussed and fully independent hospital. Since opening, we have grown to be a premier referral service provider with a fantastic team of specialists and emergency clinicians, nurses, and support staff. This currently includes specialists in small animal surgery, diagnostic imaging, anaesthesia and emergency/critical care.

We have a brand-new fit-out with all the tools and equipment expected of a specialist hospital. This currently includes on-site CT, digital radiology, a separate ultrasound suite, a medicine procedures/oncology room and separate cat and dog wards. Additional equipment includes fluoroscopy, ultrasound, rigid and flexible endoscopy, full in-house IDEXX suite and a radiometer. For the successful candidate, there is scope to be intimately involved in the design of our new internal medicine wing as we prepare to expand to accommodate this new service.

Requirements:

  • Specialist qualification in Small Animal Internal Medicine
  • Desire to build, lead and grow an amazing team
  • Desire to shape your own service, with support and formal mentorship from our existing leadership team and hospital director
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
