Feline Veterinarian

Vets with Feline Memberships or thinking about obtaining Feline Memberships are encouraged to apply.

The Cat Protection Society of Victoria is a not-for-profit animal welfare organisation that has been operating for over 70 years.

We recently moved into a purpose built facility where we run a Private Clinic and Shelter. As we continue to grow, opportunities have become available for vets to join our current team.

This is a chance to care exclusively for cats and make a difference for strays in the shelter, or loved companions in the private clinic.

You will be joining a team of 5 committed, supportive and experienced vets in well appointed new facilities. We have an X-ray machine, dental xrays, in-house blood machine, blood pressure monitoring, a capnograph and multiple bright, spacious surgical suites. The hours are excellent, as the latest we expect to close is 6pm. Saturday work will increase as we continue to grow. We will refer patients that need ongoing overnight care.

The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in Feline or Shelter Medicine. We would look very favourably on ultrasound skills. Our private clinic vet is a current ISFM member and we aim to be an accredited Cat Friendly Clinic. We have a vet with membership in Small Animal Medicine.

If you have a Veterinary degree registrable in Victoria and enjoy working with cats, please get in touch. We are flexible with hours for the right candidate.

You can look forward to a competitive wage to match your experience, paid study leave and access to VIN.
