The Victorian Equine Group is looking for a part time weekend vet, to work one weekend in two, with the responsibility for ambulatory calls and the admission of in-hospital cases.  The position requires a level of equine experience and may suit someone undertaking further study.  This role is supported by a surgeon and intern each weekend.  

Hours of work are late Friday afternoon through to Monday morning on a 1 in 2 basis.  This is an on-call position with no routine bookings taken on weekends.  The successful applicant will be provided with accommodation (not shared) in Bendigo. 

This is a salaried (pro-rata) position, with earnings commensurate with full-time veterinary staff.

Requirements

The position is open to those holding a Veterinary qualification registerable in Victoria, a current driver’s licence, and the right to work in Australia.

The Victorian Equine Group is a specialist equine veterinary group servicing the needs of clients around Victoria, Australia. The Victorian Equine Group purchased the Bendigo Equine Hospital in 2012. The Bendigo Equine Hospital is a specialist surgical and medical facility located opposite the Bendigo Racecourse in Central Victoria. The Victorian Equine Group also operate Victorian Equine Reproduction Consultancy (VERC) servicing stud clients in the greater Nagambie area, Victoria. VERC is a specialist practice set up to facilitate assisted equine reproduction of all kinds.
