About This Opportunity

This position is located at The University of Queensland’s picturesque Gatton Campus ( Gatton Campus, UQ combines its Queensland Agricultural College heritage with modern research and teaching facilities in agriculture, agribusiness and veterinary science. Just over an hour’s drive west of Brisbane and five kilometres from the local township, the 1068-hectare Gatton campus offers a relaxed, friendly atmosphere and world-class facilities including the Queensland Animal Science Precinct, the UQ Veterinary Medical Centre, Gatton Research Dairy, nursery and glasshouse facilities, the southern hemisphere’s largest PV solar array research facility, and a pesticide wind tunnel facility. The campus also operates several commercial plant and animal production units in rural technologies to support teaching, research and hands-on training.

The Client Relationship Manager will lead the business development activities of the UQ Veterinary Teaching Hospital. The position will also be pivotal to developing and maintaining existing mutually beneficial relationships with surrounding veterinary practices and the community to secure the caseload and support required to provide high quality training to our BVSc, BVetTech students and DVClinSci residents.

As an advocate for the broader SVS Engagement and Advancement Strategies, the Client Relationship Manager will work closely with the VTH Business Manager and the School leadership to inspire the staff towards the common purpose and vision of the School “to provide global knowledge leadership through excellence in veterinary science”’. The role also supports the Business Manager to maximise the business efficiency of the VTH’s operations, and the Advancement Manager, Faculty of Science, to identify potential fundraising prospects and develop targeted fundraising appeals.

The position will be an active member of the School’s Engagement and Advancement Committees. This position would be based at the VTH (Gatton) and requires a passion for engaging clients. The position will actively engage with the external veterinary industry, related organisations and the Faculty of Science engagement team to enhance the profile of the VTH, the Veterinary School and the University.

What We Can Offer

This is a full-time fixed-term position of three years advertised at HEW Level 7.

The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $85,222 - $93,085 p.a., plus up to 17% superannuation (total package will be in the range $99,710 - $108,910 p.a.).
